On Friday I went to Longitude festival (which was amazing by the way). I originally planned on doing an OOTD post about what I wore but just like every other time I've ever planned to write an OOTD post, I forgot to take proper photos of my outfit... Some day I'll remember! So instead I thought I would write about some of the bits and pieces I picked up to wear to Longitude, the majority of which I got in Penneys (of course!). So I suppose this post is a mini, festival themed Penneys/Primark haul!
"Parka in a Pocket" - €10
A raincoat is definitely an essential for a festival in Ireland. This one from Penneys/Primark is cheap, convenient and leopard print, which is always a bonus. It folds up into one of the pockets so it fits nicely into your handbag.
The only downside to this parka was that half the girls at Longitude had it as it's the only one available in Penneys at the moment!
Ankle Boots - €21
I am in love with these boots. How gorgeous are they?! I've been looking for some nice brown/tan ankle boots for a while now. They're not the most practical for wearing to a festival in Ireland, and I ended up taking them off after a while because I was worried they would get destroyed with muck, but I can tell I'm going to get a lot of wear out of them during the rest of the Summer and in Autumn too.
Ankle Wellies - €9
Another festival essential! These are a bit of a twist on the traditional shape however and are styled after Chelsea boots. I find this style a bit more attractive than the shape of most wellies. It also means they're small enough to fit into a backpack which is really handy.
Fringe Handbag - €8
I would prefer this handbag if it was just a little bigger but other than that I love it. It's black, has fringing, zips up, and the strap is long enough to wear across your body so it's pretty much perfect!
Flower Headband/Hairband - €7.99
This flower headband/hairband is from Claire's Accessories so it's the only item featured in this post that isn't from Penneys/Primark. If you can't wear flowers around your head at a festival then when can you? So you might as well! Some people hate flowers crowns/headbands but I personally love them. This one is so lovely and delicate and would be gorgeous as a hairband too so it's a bit more versatile. Unfortunately two of the flowers fell off so it is a bit flimsy, but luckily they were the both from the very side and not from the middle so it's not really noticeable.
