Mini Holiday Haul!

I'm heading off to Rome for a few days at the end of the month, so the other day I went into town to pick up the last few bits I needed before going away.  I know the summer is nearly over but I thought I'd show you guys what I bought anyway, in case some of you are going away in the next few weeks or in Autumn.

Nivea Protect and Bronze Suncream

I don't tan.  Ever.  I bought the Nivea Protect and Bronze Tan Activating Protecting Oil in the hopes that it might help me go just a shade darker...  But I don't have high hopes as that would be a bible-worthy miracle.  It's factor 30 and has a UVA rating of 4 stars so more importantly, it should protect my Irish skin from the sun.  I also picked up the Nivea Protect and Bronze Face Cream in factor 50.  It feels nice and light and non-greasy so hopefully it won't cause my skin to breakout.

Rimmel Matte BB Cream

Rimmel Matte BB Cream

I use the Rimmel Matte BB Cream all the time and I love it.  It has good coverage and a matte finish but is still light like a BB cream.  I usually use the shade Very Light but I bought the shade Light for going away (wishful thinking).

Hat, Penneys

Penneys Sun Hat

I'm not a "hat person" but my scalp gets sunburnt really anytime I go away somewhere sunny and then showering and brushing my hair every day become very painful affairs.  I picked up this hat in Penneys for €10.  I actually really like this hat and I'm going to try wear it every day (even if I feel a bit stupid at first) to keep my face and my scalp protected from the sun.

Sunglasses, Topshop

Round Topshop Sunglasses

I've fallen in love with round sunglasses this year.  I featured a pair from Penneys in my April Favourites a few months back.  Unfortunately this pair don't fit me very well and aren't the best quality (they were only €3 so I can't complain).  I picked up this plain black pair in Topshop.  They'll go with everything, they fit me perfectly and they're much better quality.  They also came with a really pretty case!

Sundress, Topshop

Topshop White Sundress

I saw this dress in Topshop a few weeks ago for €58.  It's gorgeous but unfortunately I really couldn't afford to spend that much on a dress at the moment.  I was having a look around for something similar for a lower price but couldn't find anything so I decided to go into Topshop to see if they still had it (just to have a look at it, I told myself).  To my delight, it was on the sale rack!  There was only one left, it was only €12, and it fit!  I never find anything good on sale so this was an amazing moment for me.  I looooooove this dress.

I hope you liked seeing the last few bits and pieces I picked up before going on holiday.  Comment below where you went/are going on holiday and what your holiday essentials are!

    1. Thanks Jess! I never really used BB creams because I prefer to have a bit more coverage, but the Rimmel Matte one is perfect for me, I hope you love it too!
